Effects of Common Pollutants

INTRODUCTION

The most common pollutants on Earth are air pollutants. When polluted air is widespread, the contaminants can get spread to water sources.

According to the CDC, six common air pollutants are carbon monoxide, lead, nitrogen oxides, ground-level ozone, particle pollution, and sulfur oxides.

LESSON

Even though air pollution may seem inevitable, there are still things that we can do to reduce its impact and spread to water sources. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reducing overall smoke output.
