Adaptations

INTRODUCTION

Adaptation is the adjustment of behavior, physiology, and structure to be better suited in an environment. Some examples of adaptation include sharp teeth, the long necks of giraffes, polar bear’s white fur, shape of a bird’s beak, etc.

“In evolutionary theory, adaptation is the biological mechanism by which organisms adjust to new environments or to changes in their current environment.” —National Geographic
