Ethanol

INTRODUCTION

Ethanol is also known as alcohol. It can be found in alcoholic beverages such as beers and wine. It is also a common ingredient found in cosmetics, beauty products, and hand sanitizers (ChemicalSafetyFacts). However, ethanol can be highly flammable.

Alcohol Word Search (By Word Mint)

Materials: Printed worksheets and a pencil // Duration: 10-15 minutes

  • Hand out the word search to students.

  • Have students fill out the worksheet individually or in groups.

LESSON

Ethanol can come from many sources; most ethanol made in the United States comes from corn. It has many uses ranging from fuel usages to chemical product production.
