We are working with the Tri-City Urban Forest Alliance (TUFA) to plant trees in the Fremont urban environment. Our mission is to plant trees where people need them the most for carbon sequestration, beauty, and the benefit of the people and the environment, as well as create a team of urban foresters to educate and promote the many benefits of trees through citizen volunteer training.
TUFA is planting oak and other trees in Fremont and targeting communities that have a low socioeconomic status, eventually going to all Fremont communities. We are working in conjunction with the Fremont Urban Forest Management Plan by the City of Fremont.
If you are in middle school or above, you are eligible to participate in these projects.
