INTRODUCTION

E-waste occurs once electronics are thrown into landfills. The problem is that many of these electronics contain harmful chemicals such as lead, mercury, and arsenic which have a negative impact on species’ health

LESSON

E-waste is caused by humans. Throwing away electronics that are no longer in use have detrimental impacts on human and species health. The reason for this is because of the harmful chemicals they contain such as mercury and lead. Recycling these electronics comes with benefits such as the reuse of the materials for other purposes and it prevents the chemicals from having a negative effect on species health.
