Fire Ecology/Forest Fires

INTRODUCTION

Fire ecology is the study of the relationship between fires and ecosystems. Wildfires and forest fires are uncontrolled fires that burn wildlands (National Geographic).

“Wildland fires are a force of nature that can be nearly as impossible to prevent, and as difficult to control, as hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods.” — USDA
